Unemployment Claims

As restrictions due to the COVID-19 pandemic are being eased, certain states have decided to withdraw from the Federal UI Programs that were included in the American Rescue Plan Act(ARPA).

The two main programs these states are no longer participating in are the Federal Pandemic Unemployment Compensation(FPUC), which granted an additional $300 per week for claimants, and the Pandemic Emergency Unemployment Compensation(PEUC), which extended the duration a claimant could collect Unemployment Insurance by 25-weeks

The Following is the list of states that are no longer participating in these programs with the effective date:

*Arizona, Montana, New Hampshire and Oklahoma will be offering back to work incentives.

States have also begun to reinstate the work search requirements that were waived prior to COVID-19:

If more states opt out of the Federal UI Programs, ValeU Group will update our clients accordingly.
